We have never opened an office outside West Michigan. That is not modesty, it is the whole strategy: we know the inspectors, the trades, the soil and the way weather moves across this part of the state, because we have built here and nowhere else since 1998.

It means we can tell you in the first meeting whether your budget is real. Most contractors will not do that until they have your drawings.

Before you call

The questions we get asked first

How early should we bring you in?

Before the drawings are finished, and ideally before the site is bought. The cheapest changes are the ones made on paper. We do preconstruction as a paid service and it routinely saves more than it costs.

What size projects do you take?

Between roughly $8M and $80M. Below that we are more overhead than you need. Above it you want a firm with a bigger bonding capacity, and we will tell you who to call.

Do you self-perform any of the work?

Concrete and carpentry. Everything else is subcontracted to trades we have worked with for years, and we will show you the bid list before we award anything.

Can you work in an occupied building?

Most of what we do is in occupied buildings. Hospitals, schools and plants that cannot close are the majority of our work, and the sequencing that requires is the thing we are actually good at.
